Beginning in 1980 with the desire to produce a single, versatile role-playing system, Kevin Siembieda formed Palladium Books; publishing their first game, The Mechanoid Invasion in 1981. Other games followed in quick succession, with the Palladium RolePlaying Game in 1983 presenting the full Palladium system, culminating in the first Rifts books in 1990... and they are still going strong.
