Shared Campaigns allow players worldwide to participate - at conventions or in their own home groups - in a global campaign with common adventures and the ability to take a character to any event and play him, gaining experience and other rewards just as if he were being playing in a normal home campaign. Often run by games companies to promote their game lines, they provide opportunities for the gaming community to run, write, GM and play in a shared world.
RPG Resource will attempt to catalogue these campaigns past and present... if anyone can help with expert knowlege of a particular shared campaign it would be appreciated, as they are often not widely known beyond the participants.
