Opening with comments from a crewman who served under Kirk, who does a nicely nuanced task of separating fact from tall story, this presents full character sheets for James T. Kirk, Spock, Dr McCoy, Montgomery Scott, Sulu, Uhura, Chekov, Christine Chapel and the Enterprise herself. Perhaps you want them to turn up in your story, perhaps you want to play one of these iconic characters yourself, maybe you want to see how they stack up against your own Star Trek Adventures character... whatever, it makes for quite interesting reading.

For each character there's some commentary about them (it sounds like the same voice as the introductory remarks, and this individual is an enthusiast about all of them, no critical remarks), a full stat block and an illustration. Some role-playing notes, something that gives more of an idea of the character as a person, might have been useful - but you have the show to fall back on to remind you that if it wore a skirt Kirk was inters, to catch the friendly bickering between Spock and McCoy, and so on. Even a typical remark from each would have helped.

The USS Enterprise NCC 1701 also takes her place, with ship statistics so that she too can appear in your game, or even be the vessel your party serves upon. (That could make an interesting game: can your party step into Kirk, Spock and the rest's shoes and continue their mission?)
