Conspiracy X, from Eden Studios, was originally bought in from a company called New Millennium Entertainment with its own unique game mechanic. This included the use of Xener cards for psychic abilities, and a core mechanic that classified task resolution as either Easy (automatic success), Medium (requiring a roll of 7 or less on 2d6), Hard (roll 4 or less on 2d6) or Impossible (automatic failure) based on comparing your ability with the appropriate skill to the difficulty level of the task to be undertaken.
The game was launched in 1996, and sourcebooks were published until 2002.
