Launced by TSR in 1997, Alternity is a science-fiction game that attracted a small but enthusiastic following during its short life before being discontinued in 2000.

As well as the core books, no less than four settings were released - two orignal settings in Star*Drive and Dark•Matter, as well as StarCraft (based on a computer game) and an update to Gamma World.
