The Morrow Project, from Timeline, first came out in 1980 when the Cold War promised to bring about the apocalypse that the game supposes. The idea is that a man called Bruce Edward Morrow got leading American industrialists to band together against the impending nuclear war by creating a network of cryogenically frozen special teams and equipment to aid in the reconstruction of the U.S. after the war had ended and radiation levels dropped sufficiently to allow them to emerge safely.

The game is pretty realistic. It went through three editions quite quickly (1980-1984), and was revived in a fourth edition in 2013.
