This is a neat little mini-scenario that could occupy a full evening's play - perhaps even around Hallowe'en if you are minded to celebrate the holiday with themed role-playing.
The core plot and the ideas for what might be going on are well thought out and suit an alternate reality in which it's pretty much the same as the 'real world' with super-powers known but uncommon.
Despite a well-crafted scene, the 'read aloud' text is confused, loses its grip on its grammar and... well, I don't intend to SHOUT it at my players, why is it all in bold upper case letters? Harder to read, if nothing else. But once that's out of the way, there are some good ideas for how to run the adventure, things to do if the 'heros seem too baffled, incidentals to pop in and so on. You will need to map a suburban neighbourhood, though - try Google Maps or use part of any map of a suitable township if you find it hard to visualise.
Even if you use a different superhero ruleset, this will adapt to your chosen rules readily. Basically, it's a neat Hallowe'en-themed adventure which takes advantage of common tropes of that time of year and uses them to good effect to provide an evening's entertainment for your group.
