Flashing Blades, from Fantasy Games Unlimited, is set in 17th Century France, immortalised in fiction as the time of the Three Musketeers. It makes for a fascinating game, with intrigue and sword-play to provide endless excitement. Of course, adventures can spread further afield, the rules need little adaptation to visit early Colonial America, the Carribean or the English Civil War... and there was plenty going on around the rest of Europe or even further afield should that take your fancy.
