The book contains four scenarios. The first involves a carnival and the sinister secrets that lies beneath it. The second scenario introduces a new elder god, and culminates in a clash between science and sorcery. The last two are a mini-campaign leading the investigators to Egypt and Arabia in serach of ancient artifacts and lost cities.
Publisher's blurb: "Is the little Rhode Island carnival just a place of innocent playfulness or does it house dark secrets? Is the newest exhibit at the Museum of Natural History a crude representation of an elephant, or is it a thing out of the depths of time? Who would kill for a ceremonial dagger? What mere vision is powerful enough to kill a wizened rabbi? Investigators will be confounded by four of the most detailed scenarios ever published for Call of Cthulhu."
