Savage Worlds: The Eye of Kilquato

The Eye of Kilquato

A delightful 'pulp' adventure set in 1939 that sends the characters roaming the jungle in South America in search of treasure. With pregenerated characters redolent of a mix of Indiana Jones, Lara Croft Tomb Raider, The Mummy Returns and Tarzan just to put you in the right mood!

The characters are hired to find the 'Eye of Kilquato' for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. A bit of basic research reveals that it's a large yellow gemstone said to be embedded in the statue of a large crocodile in a ruin somewhere in the depths of Brazil. Further information might be found in an account left by Spanish missionaries in 1900.

And so off to Brazil and a trip up the Amazon river system by boat to a remote village where rumours of a terrible 'Crocodile God' abound. Naturally, there are the usual minor problems like river pirates, native villages struck by disease, piranhas, rival 'archaeologists' and a native crocodile-worshipping cult. It's all here - and makes for an exciting and enjoyable romp for GM and players alike.

While written for Savage Worlds, it shouldn't be too difficult to amend it for use with any other 'Pulp' style game.
