Spycraft 2.0: Hanukkah Havoc

Hanukkah Havoc

This is a brief single-scene event that is at the cinematic-to-ridiculous end of the spy genre. The setting is simple. It's the festival of Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Light, which marks the rededication of the Temple some two thousand years or so ago after it had been desecrated by invaders. It generally occurs in December and is a time of celebration.

Anyway one year in Jerusalem, during the eight-day Hanukkah festival, there's been a peace conference between the Israelis and the Palestinians and everyone is hopeful about the results... but then a fellow called Cecil Forsythe, an arms manufacturer who has recently converted to Judaism (and that's quite hard to do, it is not a faith that actively recruits new members!) says he has a big announcement to make. The characters' agency is curious and sends them to investigate.

Once they find out what he is up to, they'll have to try and stop him. This will result in an exciting chase through the historic streets of old Jerusalem with plenty of cinematic mayhem along the way. Full details of Forsythe and other pertinent game statistics are included, but you might want to acquire an appropriate map to run the chase to best effect. Oh, and if you do not know what a dreidel is, find out! Better, get one, it will make a good visual aid.

Apart from the 'super-science' being more than a little silly, this should prove a merry romp. More serious-minded groups could incorporate this into a series of events in the area, there's potential here for quite a good plotline.
