Mongoose Publishing acquired the licence to bring out the fourth edition of RuneQuest, with the first books seeing the light of day in 2006. They've gone from strength to strength, producing a core game and several settings chief of which is their take on the original setting of Glorantha... an earlier period in the world's history known as Glorantha: The Second Age. The core game can be playing in a setting of your own devising, and Mongoose have produced others as well, either settings or complete games using the RuneQuest game mechanics but not actually requiring purchase of the core RuneQuest rulebook.
