Hard Boiled from Empty Room Studios Publishin is billed as a series of supplements for "mystery, mayhem, and the macabre" - the sort of pulp and horror games set in the early 20th-century, games such as Justice Inc., Call of Cthulhu and the like. The product line includes customisable floorplan tiles, handouts such as documents, tickets, etc., and cardstock miniatures.

Their goal with the sets of City Tiles is to create a group of tiles that will connect to each other, and allow players to build an entire city to run campaigns in. Future expansions will include offices, various store fronts, government buildings, industrial and warehouse complexes, and many others. Also in the line are sets of period documents that will include business cards, playbills, passports, and various other items players can use to enhance their games. These documents will also relate to the tile sets that are released as well.
