Bulldogs!: Rescue at Sen Gamma

Rescue at Sen Gamma

A nice little adventure, that can suitably be slotted in as the characters travel the starlanes about their own business. While pausing at a small way-station that is base to a family mining concern, they are asked to investigate the disappearance of a prospecting ship. This had gone to a nearby system inhabited only, according to the records, by a primitive pre-starfaring race.

Assuming they accept the task, the system and indeed the prospecting ship are easy to find. The ship is deserted... and the rest of the adventure involves finding out where the miners have gone.

The setting is well-described with lots of neat features that bring out the alien nature of the miners for whom the characters are looking, as well as that of the planet on which they'll have to land.

As well as the adventure itself, two new sentient species are introduced, complete with full statistics. These are the Ahn-Gaehra, the local natives who are mostly humanoid but with large webbed feat, and the T'Prill, the miners that the characters are looking for, who are slug-like in appearance. Most people would say 'snail-like' but the large shells they favour actually come from another creature and are more 'clothing' than part of the T'Prill themselves.

While a fairly straightforward adventure, this is well presented with an excellent 'alien' feel, and could be used with any space-faring game as an encounter to good effect.
